Press Release Body:

Engineers from E.ON\'s Connah\'s Quay Power Station have proved themselves a dab hand
during a special team painting challenge at Ysgol Y Fron primary school in Holywell.

Seven engineers from the power station spent a day at the school sprucing up
communal areas as part of E.ON\'s Energy in the Community programme.

Mark Worrall, who lives in Flint and is part of the production day team at Connah\'s
Quay, made the arrangements for the 'Changing Rooms\' style makeover.

He said: \"We wanted to get together for a day of team building and felt it was
important that we pick a project that would be of benefit to the local community.

\"The day was a real success - it gave us the opportunity to work together in
different circumstances, and knowing that we were making a direct contribution to
the school made it all the more worthwhile.

\"In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much that, when we finished early, we carried on
with another room!\"

Mark was joined by fellow Connah\'s Quay engineers Les Cooper, Mike Hughes, John
Heenigan and Duncan Blackhall plus Arthur Griffiths and Terry O\'Neil who are
contractors from NSG in Flintshire.

Peter Davies, Headteacher at Ysgol Y Fron, said: \"I was particularly impressed by
the manner in which the work was completed, taking great care to leave the building
in an immaculate condition - they even took time to arrange our trophy table in a
far more presentable way!

\"School budgets are very tight and, often, cosmetic chores are neglected due to
financial constraints so it\'s good to know that there\'s an industry willing to
invest time and resources into the community.\"

E.ON UK finds and supports volunteering opportunities which provide a rewarding
challenge for employees as part of its wider community relations programme. In 2006,
staff spent over 32,000 hours volunteering on projects in their local communities.
